In Yars' Revenge, a player controls an insect-like creature called a Yar through a barrier and shooting or eating the shield surrounding the Qotile. The Qotile retaliates by firing missiles and deploying a deadly Swirl, which pursues the Yar. Players must strategically avoid these hazards while trying to destroy the Qotile's shield.
