Larry Dennit Sr. was the original owner of Bobby's team, Dennit Racing. After retiring, his son, Larry Dennit Jr. took over the team halfway through Bobby's career. Larry Dennit Jr. was only concerned with season point totals and winning sponsors, and he disliked Ricky's showboating antics.
